Sheila (Annie Chancel), the quinticential French Yé-yé girl, sings two of her first hits: "Jolie Petite Sheila" (1962) and "L'école est Finie" (1963). The first song, from which Annie Chancel got her stage name, is a cover of Tommy Roe's "Sweet Little Sheila."
* Yes, I know that I spelled the second song wrong in the title credits.

Here's another song by the famous Spanish actress Marisol.
"Me Conformo," sung in the 1964 movie "La Nueva Cenicienta."
Lyrics:
Me conformo
Con estar a tu lado
Me conformo
Con hacerte feliz
Me conformo.
Con mirarte a los ojos
Con oirte en silencio
Con tenerte en mis brazos
Y soñar junto a ti.
Yo quisiera
Conseguirtelo todo
Y llevarte
Por un mundo mejor amor.
Sé que no tengo nada
Pero yo me conformo
Me conformo
Cuando tengo tu amor.
Me conformo.
Con mirarte a los ojos
Con oirte en silencio
Con tenerte en mis brazos
Y soñar junto a ti.
Yo quisiera
Conseguirtelo todo
Y llevarte
Por un mundo mejor amor.
Sé que no tengo nada
Pero yo me conformo
Me conformo
Cuando tengo tu amor.

Linda Scott was born Linda Joy Sampson on June 1, 1945 in Queens, New York. She got her start in music business when she auditioned for Arthur Godfrey's radio show in 1959. She is most famous for her 1961 interpretation of the song "I've Told Every Little Star," which reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was later featured in the 2001 movie, "Mulholland Drive." She stopped recording in the early 70's, when she joined the U.S. army and became a medical laboratory technician. She also studied at Kingsway Christian College and Theological Seminary around this time, and earned a degree in theology. She later taught music at the Christian Academy in New York.
Here, Linda sings "Patch It Up" from 1965.

Alice Babs (born Hildur Alice Nilsson on January 26, 1924) is a singer and actor from Kalmar, Sweden. While she has worked in a wide number of genres, she is best known internationally as a jazz singer. Making her breakthrough in the Swedish film "Swing it Magistern" (1940), she appeared in more than a dozen Swedish language-films. In 1958, she was the first artist to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest, finishing in 4th place with the song "Lilla stjärna" ("Little Star"). The same year, she formed the Swe-Danes with Ulrik Neumann and Svend Asmussen. The group would later tour the United States together, before dissolving in 1961. A long and productive period of collaboration with Duke Ellington started in 1963. Among other works, Alice Babs performed his second and third Sacred Concerts that were originally written for her. Her voice has an extreme range; Duke Ellington once said that when she did not sing the parts that he wrote for her, he had to use three different...

The Blue Diamonds were an Indo (Dutch-Indonesian) duo consisting of brothers Ruud and Riem de Wolff. Formed in 1949, the Blue Diamonds rose to popularity in 1960 with their up-tempo cover of the 1928 song "Ramona," which was recorded in several languages and topped the Dutch and German charts. "Ramona" even reached #72 on the Billboard Hot 100. The duo was often dubbed "The Dutch Everly Brothers" after covering many of their hits. This video features the Blue Diamonds' 1960 covers of two Everly Brothers tunes: "Cathy's Clown" and "Till I Kissed You"

Here's a rare piece of Dutch history from the 60's: "Ik ken je beter, Peter" by Iris Zegveld with Short 66. Supposedly, she never made an album, and only ever put out one single, consisting of this song and "De sleutelring" on "Relax Records" 1966. It was later released on the "Biet Het" series, a collection of Dutch garage rock. Unfortunately, this is all that anyone today really knows about Iris. Though I don't speak any Dutch, I'm inclined to believe that the title translates as "I know you better, Peter."
