The locomotive is the wood-burning "General", 4-4-0 American, in its original appearance with angle rail, oblique cylinders, and three domes, from Rogers 1855. The model is home-built according to authoritative drawings of parts from four different H0 standard brass models, but the wheels are new, and the angle rail, cowcatcher, dome bases, and front lamp are made from scratch. It is driven by a coreless Faulhaber motor with a flywheel and a worm drive on the rear axle of the locomotive, and it is digitalized by a Lenz sound decoder equipped with an "electronic flywheel" in the tender. The lamp has a LED bulb, which can be switched on when moving forward. The first three cars are a mail coach and two passenger coaches, Union- and Central Pacific, "Promontory", and the rear car is a Virginia & Truckee Club Car, "Julia Bulette", all brass and home-painted in four different colors.
