For those wanting to know what a Gretsch Catalina Birch sounds like, how good the sound quality of a Presonus Inspire or Sennheiser e609 sounds, how a Mapex Black Panther sounds or even just how any Birch Drums or Mapel snare sound. :] There's not too many videos out on youtube with decent sound quality on drums and other times the drums are poorly tuned. Quick info you should know or might wanna know... - Mapex Black Panther, Maple 13" x 6" all stock heads, midnight black finish this snare is discontinued, I got mine on eBay I believe it's a 6-ply, I forget so look it up and the outer ply is cherry, not maple. I like it, it looks beautiful up close and has a nice pop. For stock heads, it sounds pretty good. - Gretsch Catalina Birch Toms/Bass drum 10" tom with Remo Weahterking Ambassador, 12" tom with Evans G2 clear. I like the Remo better. The fact that they're 5-lug toms worried me a little thinking that maybe they'd be hard to tune but I managed to get a pretty good sound out of them. 22" bass drum, no heads, no claws, no tension rods. I got all three of these drums off eBay, they're also discontinued so I managed to get the bass drum cheap with missing parts. The Evans EMAD2 I have will go on as soon as I get my bass drum claws that I ordered. New video later too. I hope this helped you in finding out how any of the things in this video sound. Again, thank you for watching. If you have any questions at all, comment and I'll reply as soon as I can. :]
