This is an old (1930s) celluloid toy. Celluloid is a very early plastic and this toy has a wind-up motor inside. When you wind him up, he "crawls" across the floor, stops and "shoots" (there is a clicking noise that sounds like rifle fire)and then he starts crawling again. Very neat old toy!

Causing so much continual suffering that one would prefer dying, should be considered a worse crime than killing and punished strictly. There should be a suicide right for all, so that the worst kind of suffering could be avoided. No-one has the right to force people to a work that hurts so much that they have to be kept drugged, like many engineers are (and soldiers?).
