Mauli Ola Foundation Golf Tournament Turtle Bay December 2008. This golf tournament raised funds for surf experience days. Surf experience days are meant to introduce the connection between surfing and the ocean air with cystic fibrosis. The ocean air is high in saline and helps lubricate the lining of the lungs which helps break up the mucus that lines the lungs for easier expulsion. This hypertonic saline technique is in use by many hospitals and cystic fibrosis patients. The event was a great success with sponsors Da Hui, Volcom, and Ambry Genetics all taking part in supporting this great cause.
