songs of a broken hearted boy.. originally from guitarist previous band, beneath all lies

An obvious student of the great vocalist/guitarist George Benson, Norman Brown is a virtuoso on the guitar. Brown can even scat like Benson when it comes down to it, but what seperates him from his mentor is his uncanny ability to translate his vivid imagination into transcendent melodies. Melodies that linger long after the song is over. Not even Benson can lay claim to that type of talent. Brown also has a very recognizable style of guitar-playing where if you heard a just a few notes, 9 times out of 10, you would know it was him. Not very many jazz musicians can the same thing about their music.
I haven't bought an album of Norman Brown's since 1999 because frankly, jazz albums costs an arm and a leg... even the used ones. But until then, I still treasure the Celebration album like it just came out yesterday. I'm not of fan of every single song on the album, but the ones that I do like are SO solid... they self-induct themselves into my "favorites of all-time" list....

This a band that was popular in California some time ago. The guitarist Will Crockett is my cousins EX. No one in my family heard from them for awhile so it's assumed that they don't perform anymore. The only album that I know of is:
Killing Streets
It's a good album and it should've gotten Worldwide exposure.
