I've had a lot of fun on YouTube in 2008. Thanks to all the people I've seen and met in YouTubeland. I look forward to seeing you all in 2009. I wish you all a healthy, happy, and prosperous new year.
The music is The Joe Pass Trio from his album Eximious - the track is Serenata.

A cover and new arrangement of Leonard Cohen's song Suzanne. I could never sing the song very well so I changed it to suit me better. I hope you like it.

It's the Leonard Cohen song from his 1984 album, Various Positions, with Alexandra Burke, Leonard Cohen and the late Jeff Buckley. It's been recorded by many many people and all 3 versions are in the UK charts at Christmas 2008.

This song has been with me a long time. The main verses started around 1990. Some extra bits were added in 97 and a few more in 98. It contains a few words from my fellow Welshman Dylan Thomas (including the line "We'll have a bed in a bar..." which was found written on a scrap of paper in a chip shop in Portsmouth about 40 years after they were written (correct me if I'm wrong). The line about the stock markets being "just paper that floats away" has seemed more meaningful to me recently.
