Toneelstuk door leerlingen van het Damstede College in Amsterdam. (2007/2008) Twee jongemannen die wonen in Engeland rond het jaar 1890 hebben besloten hun leven wat kleur te geven door de waarheid iets te verbuigen. Jack Worthing heeft een eigenzinnige jongere broer bedacht, die hij zo nu en dan gebruikt om naar Londen te kunnen gaan om de lieftallige Gwendolen weer te zien. Algernon Moncrieff heeft besloten om de naam Ernst aan te nemen, zodat hij Cecily Cardew -- Jack's jonge pupil van pas achttien -- kan ontmoeten in het landhuis van Jack buiten de stad. Maar gaat dat wel goed als Jack en Algernon samen op het platteland terecht komen? En wat doen ze als blijkt dat allebei hun grote liefdes alleen een man willen die Ernst heet?? In dit toneelstuk vol humor en liefdesperikelen komen we er wellicht achter hoe belangrijk het nou eigenlijk is om Ernst te zijn.
