Flann Obrien Irish Pub Barcelona, Spain Saturday May 31, 2008 KADIS a BON JOVI Tribute and Crushmagazine.es (BON JOVI Official fan club in Spain) put together two unforgettable sold out nights at The FLANN OBRIEN IRISH PUB in Barcelona prior to BON JOVI´s show at the Olympic Stadium on Sunday June 1. We´d like to thank all the die hard BON JOVI fans and everyone that came along to see one of the biggest BON JOVI tribute acts around the globe.

The Springfields were a British pop-folk vocal trio in the early 1960s, who had success in the UK, USA and Ireland, but are now best remembered as the launch pad for singer Dusty Springfield. The trio formed in 1960, when Mary "Dusty" OBrien joined her brother Dion O'Brien and Tim Feild, who had been working as a duo, "The Kensington Squares". Dion became Tom Springfield, and Mary became Dusty Springfield. Feild was later replaced by Mike Hurst. Tom Springfield was a songwriter and arranger with a wide knowledge of folk music, and the group had strong vocal harmonies and Dustys powerful lead. They were signed to Philips Records and released their first single, "Dear John," in 1961, followed by two UK chart hits with "Breakaway" and "Bambino" like their other records, produced by Johnny Franz. Seeing as David Tennant has been playing Hamlet for the last few months, I thought it would be appropriate to see what the 10th Doctor would be like in the role. Ok, so the Tennant-hair failed, and my 10th Doctor impression sucks! Still, enjoy!

CNN IN Search of Aliens UFO's Miles O'Brien

For one night only, eight top comedians took part in an event which raised almost £4,500 for CAFODs emergency work in Zimbabwe Jocelyn Jee Esien - of Little Miss Jocelyn fame - hosted "Stand Up for Zimbabwe" with vivacious comic Patrick Monahan headlining the night. Sharing the stage were stand ups Carl Donnelly, Stephen Carlin, Paul Kerensa and Stefano Paolini, while comedy duo Rosie Wilkinson and Helen OBrien performed brand new sketches written especially for the night.
