This is the final version of my motor kayak that is practical with trolling motor, foot steering control, near by speed control, full space rear well and everything removable. I modified the motor into propeller & control module. The watersnake T18S (AUD RRP$149) has very simple design. It has 2 motor coils for different speeds. Therefore only has 3 wires go into control module. Basically, the control module has only 1 single pole switch & 1 double pole switch. All I do is separate two parts and link them with 3 longer wire. I attached the control module to a 32mm PVC pipe. I just plug into fish rod holder next to me. My idea is to make it portable to another kayak without drilling any hole for mounting. The motor only draw 15A and my 26Ahr Gel cell can run up to 3hrs according to manufacturer discharge characteristic table.
